indo-germanAnd for a Friday in New Delhi …some thoughts …..

Lutyens Delhi is undeniably a great place for any International Event … clean, green, pristine …

60 years is eventful in the life of an Association as much as a person. So it was the 60th AGM of the Indo German Chamber of Commerce being held for the first time in Delhi. Else its been always in Mumbai.

Speaker after speaker reiterated what I firmly believe. Germany and India are partners who have complimentary strengths and the relationship is mutually sustainable, for the further betterment of both countries.

This Event in Delhi was doubly memorable cos my friend, the Director General of IGCC, Bernhard Steinruecke was most deservedly bestowed the highest German Award – Cross of the Order of Merit in presence of a very select gathering including the German Federal Minister for Transport and Digital Infrastructure – Mr. Alexander Dobrindt and the Indian Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu. What an elegant and classy event hosted by Dr. Martin Ney the German Ambassador.

Along the memory lane of 60 years when Tatas and Mercedez Benz brought in the first Trucks to India, one such truck of 1956 had pride of place at the Ambassador’s main gate for this event.

It is events, people and associations like IGCC which will help build our Nation, the SEEGOS way.
