stop_corruptionAnd for a Friday….. of a week of two unconnected but significant events…..

What is common between Turki-bin-Saud bin Turki bin Saud al-Kabeer and Donald Trump?

One is from the only Absolute Monarchy in the world and the other from the Absolute Democracy but both have created headlines and lessons for us in India.

The last of the presidential debates is over and the Americans have to vote for the Most Powerful Job in the World but leave aside the sleaze and the porn in the debates like who did what to whom and what are the fantasies of Ivanka and the desires of her Father.

The issues and problems were better articulated by Lalu Yadav for the Bihar Elections. Unemployment, poor education, exorbitant college fees, lack of skill development, threat of Chinese goods and Corruption.

Saudi monarch King Salman ordered the beheading of a prince in a Public Square just like the other 134 executions that have taken place in the same Square. Beheading may sound harsh, barbaric, or uncultured but across the Middle East the immigrant workers say “the Law is applicable to all…. There are no big people or small people”.

Lessons for us in India. When can we have the rule of law, speedy, equitable justice, whether rich or poor? Democracy has its ups and downs but be it US, Nigeria or India, Corruption is common. So let us all work together to reduce Corruption…..the SEEGOS way
