India, with the largest growth in Smart phones and Internet, is the worlds fastest growing Content market. In just ten years of its launch in India, Google You tube has 225 million Actual users and is targeting to reach 500 million by 2020. WhatsApp as a free Medium has Revolutionised content usage. But with this phenomenal growth is also the problem of dishonest and unscrupulous users spreading hatred, communal dissensions, political sparring and very detestable porno stuff.
The long arm of the law is catching up. WhatsApp is launching VERFICADO, a tool already sharpened by their experience in Mexico. The IT Act 2013 has amended clauses for Tech companies to immediately take down and help in tracking IP locations of offenders. WhatsApp Group Adminstrators better warn your members. Local Cyber cells of Police in most cities are extra vigilant. In some cases they exercise IT act along with CrPC sections to arrest the Adminstrator. Its dangerous to be even a member, leave alone forward such messages anymore.
