December 28, 2017 – Enjoying Her Great Grand Daughter’s First Birthday

And for a Friday in Trivandrum, some remembrances….. some thoughts…..

What I love about arriving in Trivandrum is the View of Acres and Acres of Greenery, the Coast and sunbathed beaches from window of the Aircraft and within twenty minutes I am into my Home in Central part of the city. No other capital city anywhere in the country offers this luxury and what I hate is the unpredictability of Hartals and Bandhs in Kerala. Understand in 2018 alone there were 97 days of closure for one reason or the other. All political parties indulge in Competitive populism – common citizens be damned. Last week the Kerala High court has ruled no one can call for any flash bandh. At least one week notice with justification is needed. Let’s pray and hope for better times.

How time flies. It’s one year exactly on 12th January 2018 when Birdyamma left us for her Heavenly Home. We will have a small prayer meeting of all those who want to remember her at one of her favourite Temples in Trivandrum. What a “Blessed” Soul she is. She celebrated her Great Grand Daughter’s First Birthday at the Bangalore Club, raised a Toast and was part of the Fun and Frolic and Cheers. All friends and well wishers admired her Graciousness, her Charm, her trademark Diamond earrings and the Love and laughter she spread across. Within a fortnight she was gone. The poem on her remembrance Calendar “Miss me….. but let me go” says it all.

We in India are blessed to have such loving caring Families. Let us extend our care and love from our Family to our immediate Neighbourhood, to our State and to our Country. Let’s build our Nation the loving way, the inclusive way, the SEEGOS way.
