And for a Friday in Mumbai…. some thoughts.

Not for nothing is Mumbai called the Maximum City. It truly has some amazing Citizens and NGOs, who make outstanding contribution to Society.

As a Trustee of PCGT, I am fortunate to be associated with Padma Shri Julio Riberio. Hats off to his energy levels, Social Commitment, Guts and “Never-Say-Die” attitude, all at the ripe young age of 90 plus!!!!

farmerPCGT strives for Good Governance, contain Corruption, uphold and inculcate Values and enhance Sadhbhavna in the Citizens.

The highlight of this year’s YFG programme at Shanmukhananda Hall was the “Dialogue” on ‘My Idea of India’ between two outstanding personalities – Prasoon Joshi and Nana Patekar, people who act, are positive and are contributing to Nation Building.

Nana Patekar has set up an NGO – NAAM Foundation – to help farmers in distress in rural Maharashtra. Nana recounts how he was pulled away from the celluloid world hearing the plight of a 23 year old young widow with two kids, 7 and 4 years. Farmer husband had committed suicide.

NAAM supports farmers in distress in drought prone areas with immediate help, planted 1 crore trees and imparting skill development for rural youth.

Each one of us has the capacity to act positively, let us all contribute to Nation building…. the SEEGOS way.
