And for a Friday …. as elections for state assemblies are almost over with results on May 4 th ……. Corruption as a core theme ….is sadly conspicuous by its total absence in discourses ……….
Every political party in opposition has levelled charges of corruption …. but when in Power the system just readjusts ….. in recent elections it’s all promises of freebies ….. each political outfit has outsmarted the others with even more offers of freebies….. no accountability … winning power is the only motto …… once in power …. the investments in the election process will be recovered …..we as a society have grown totally immune to the perils of Corruption ………
Collaborative Corruption at the highest levels is prevalent almost all over the World ….. here the Giver & Taker are both winners as official policy making powers are used to influence & benefit a particular individual or organisation…. the real issue is in Coercive corruption where the poor … hapless & vulnerable sections of society are victims ….. as a nation our collective consciousness has to be raised ……. We cannot be indifferent & callous to this curse of our ecosystem …..
Each one of us has to participate in cleansing our immediate sphere of influence…… let us resolve to fight corruption…. the involved way ….. the mutually supportive way ….the SEEGOS way.
