India’s progress in the Economic front has grabbed a lot of headlines ….. but over the last decades county’s achievements in different Sports has been truly remarkable …. In the Asian Athletics Championship 2025 just concluded in Korea, India was number 2 with 24 Medals , including 8 Golds & for the first time ahead of Japan who got 5 Golds …… every state & most Districts in the Country the athletics & sporting infrastructure has steadily improved with Public -Private partnership …… another phenomenal success is of D. Gukesh the Chess prodigy …. Not only is he the World champion … he recently beat Magnus Carlsen who is considered the Greatest Chess player of all times ……::& Chennai is undoubtedly the Chess Capital of India with a huge following & facilities for Chess as a competitive sport …
Ofcourse in India nothing absolutely nothing compares to Cricket …. The unifying Religion of India ….. & it was curtains after almost 2 months of IPL 2025 …..what fantastic entertainment …: power packed action on field & off field including a blackout at Kasauli , unscheduled break , change of venues…….: but the momentum caught on ….. two teams …PBKS & RCB who have never won the Trophy were the Finalists ….. but at the centre of it all was no18 Jersey …. KING KOHILI …. Whether you were…5…. 8 …18…28…56..,65..or 75 …. Male or female ….Every one was in red & cheering Nu 18 at the Finals …,& the King delivered the Trophy to his team …..,among the attendees was cricketing legends AB de Villers from South Africa & the towering Jamaican Chris Gayle ….. who turned up for the finals in the Jersey colours of RCB & sporting a red Turban to show for his loyalty to Punjab Kings too ……also attending the finals was Rishi Sunak the former PM of UK ……: his loyalty of course to RCB-Bangalore the city of his Sasural …..loads of fun & entertainment …. now on pause till next IPL 2026 …..
Nothing entertains & pumps up the Adrenaline & unites as Sports ….. it’s excitement … it’s fun & above all the sporting spirit ….. let us all encourage all Sports the ….. involved way …. the fun way …. the SEEGOS way.
