Indo German Training Centre – Post Graduate Programme in Business Administration is the only Management institute in India which follows the German Dual Education system. Students are selected by the HR departments of German and other companies along with the Institute management. They undergo theory classes for a term, intern in the corresponding department in the selected company next term, getting practical exposure and return for theory classes. The biggest difference – importance of Values and Principles, the need for the Highest standards of Governance and not using Corruption as a competitive tool is drilled into them from Day 1.
In these tumultuous times when we as a Nation are at War with an unknown Enemy – COVID-19, Values, Principles and Personal Compass of Integrity are the need of the hour, not only amongst our Industry and business leaders but also every section of Society – the Government officials, the Medical fraternity, civil society, traders and essential services staff. Every citizen has to brace up to the Monumental and unprecedented challenges which will be thrown at us. Nobody knows how the tomorrow will be. But we must all be prepared to sacrifice, be willing to support each other, care for our neighbours as much as for ourselves by keeping the physical distance of minimum one metre and isolating ourselves.
Let us not get into discussions and debates. In three cities that my family live – Bangalore, Mumbai and Trivandrum – my simple formula is follow directions and orders of General Officer Commanding in Chief PM Modi and team, GOC-Karnataka – Yediyurappa and team, GOC-Maharashtra – Udhav Thackeray and team, GOC-Kerala – Pinarayi Vijayan and team. Just follow their instructions, the honest way, the unquestioning way, the SEEGOS way.
