Politics is tough business and the Business of Electioneering, a great Business proposition, requires Capital, Mission and Vision Statements ( Manifestos ), Organisation and Strategies. The Marketing Dept has to be very innovative with dynamic Localite and Cosmopolite Medias.
In every Election, all Skeletons can be brought out and all dirty linen can be washed – the dirtier the better. But in India, one Constant factor is the Caste. This Caste System is bisected, stretched, coloured, camouflaged with no holds barred to score Brownie points. Fairness, Transparency, Merit…. be damned.
Madras High Court Judge has raised a very Valid Comment. The poor and destitute of Forward and all communities in India must be encouraged to develop Educationally, Socially and Economically. Let all parties subscribe to remove Poverty and Inequality for all as per Article 14 of our Constitution.
A glaring statistic given by the Honourable Judge…. of the 2651 Medical seats in 22 Colleges in Tamilnadu, only 31 {aff5a224634bf574f692c8c7d068a0713fecca4ea38a30d3005107227dbb12e7} (822)are on merit. The rest is all reserved SC, BC, MBC, ST etc. All can compete for the 822 Open seats also. Finally, this year only 194 seats reached the forward classes i.e 7 {aff5a224634bf574f692c8c7d068a0713fecca4ea38a30d3005107227dbb12e7} of available Medical seats in the State.
We need to be Globally Competitive and locally relevant to be successful. Lets shed all unwanted baggages. Let’s all build a “Socially Just” India…. the Transparent way, the Ethical way, the SEEGOS way.
