16.6 lakh students have cleared the CBSE class 12 exams, entailing them to join professional and other streams of further education and skill enhancements.

Thankfully the Covid hangovers are done with and students community has reached back the pre-Covid levels of excitement in college admissions. 16.6 lakhs students have cleared class 12 of CBSE and the numbers in each State Board are between 7 to 12 lakhs. These are the youngsters adding to India’s strength as a potential Global source of skilled manpower.

No country in the world today can match India’s strength. With 750 million people below age of 25 years, with its large English speaking capabilities, India can supply unskilled, semi skilled, highly skilled and super tech knowledge workers to the world. And as the recent riots in Paris on increasing the Retirement age has shown, problems of a rapidly ageing population and scarce Human Resources has hit most developed Economies. German labour minister Hubertus Heil has declared Germany will face acute shortage of 7 million workers. As many as 6,30,000 vacancies remained unfulfilled in 2022 and consequently Germany is expected to pass sweeping Immigration Reforms. Same story in Japan. They are shunning their historical reluctance to Immigration and have now launched two new classes of Visas; Japan-Find – to attract young bright students from the top 100 Universities in the World. Upto two years stay in Japan allowed to find Jobs and Japan-Skip – for talented professionals with more than 10 years experience with highly technical and specialised skills. In both cases spouses and families are allowed. Not to mention the traditional destinations markets for India including Middle East, US, UK, Australia and many of the fast developing mid-income Economies.

Services exports is expected to earn more than 100 Bn $ and we have so far only scratched the surface. With one million Indians entering the Job markets every month, let’s equip them with job-oriented skills, the uniquely Indian Innovative way, the creative way, the SEEGOS way.
