Trade Unionism at its worst – Attimari
The Kerala Model of Development has helped achieve Social and Educational development comparable to Western Countries in Kerala – low level of Infant Mortality, high level of literacy and life expectancy etc. etc. However, I think the role of that model is over.
Industrial Development, Economic Growth and Job creation are sadly lacking and is far behind even National Averages. Unemployment is three times worse than All india unemployment. Sad but true, the young in the state have nothing to look forward to, excepting dreaming to go to the Gulf. How miserable.
Attimari – exorbitant charges by Head load workers who ensure that low level manual oriented projects will always be unviable. Noku Coolie – nowhere else in the world is plunder by Organised Trade Unions. All this must change. In the Globalised world there is no place for Communism or any brand of Communalism.
Kerala has great opportunities in Tourism, Construction, Ayurveda, Research and Technology.
Let’s all get the new Model of Growth by channelising the enormous clout of the Enterprising, intellectually bestowed Malayalis from God Own Country, now in all parts of the World and so Successful.
