And for a Friday travelling with the Indo-German Delegation, some thoughts…..

Several Round Table meetings with German Business Leaders….. in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Munich…..

Germany continues to fascinate me. Every trip I make, every factory I visit, every German Technical innovation I see, my conviction is further enhanced that India and Germany are natural Partners in these VUCA times. Indian Ambassador Mukta Tomar aptly positioned India – “The largest Young Internet Democracy” with 565 mn Internet users and growing, with a median age of 29 years, with more than 400,000 Engineers entering the Job market every year and with Diverse capabilities from Aerospace to next generation Molecular Genetic Sequencing. The combination of “German Hardware” (Manufacturing @ Industry 4.0) and Indian “Software Services” is unbeatable. Already last year, more than 80,000 Indian students, mostly Engineering related, are studying in Germany. May their tribe grow.

Dr. Jasper Wieck, on behalf of the German Ambassador to India, emphasised the continuing opportunities for Germany and India to work together and encourage US and China to move away from Unipolar designs to Multipolarity. Germany strongly supports India’s membership to UN Security Council and together fighting International Terrorism, getting a peaceful resolution to Iran issues, safety in Indian Ocean and joining the Bay of Bengal Initiative. Most importantly, Germany is collaborating with India in setting up Green Energy Power Plant in Arunachal Pradesh (a very important message). Significantly, the G-20 also starts today at Osaka with both the Indian PM and German Chancellor attending and influencing others to a better more peaceful, Multipolar and cooperative world.

Let us all support Development, Growth and Digitisation in India resulting in better Productivity, Efficiency, Competibility and Security, the Cooperative way, the Ethical way, the SEEGOS way.
