And for a Friday ….. in Tokyo enjoying the Cherry Blossom season ….. some thoughts … some musings …..
Japan is so unique … I love Japan …its people … the culture & traditions … there is so much to learn & emulate from the Japanese who probably are the worlds most culturally evolved & disciplined societies in the Globe today …….. we were fortunate to arrive at just the right time when the Cherry Blossom season is in full swing ……..just like the Lotus is the National flower of India with its unique position in Arts & mythology … so is the Cherry blossom the national flower of Japan ..so integral to the culture & lifestyle of the Japanese ….
Cherry Blossom called “Sakura” is deeply ingrained in Japanese culture symbolising the fleeting beauty of life , renewal & the arrival of spring …… the flowers blossom & last only for two to three weeks in a year …. & the trees the gardens & flowers are so breathtakingly beautiful…. mind boggling…..the tradition of cherry blossom flowers viewing is called “ Hanami”…… young couples … lovers … families & almost everyone stand under the tree & view the flowers …… just simply imbibe the beauty & nature at its best ……religiously in Shintoism cherry blossom is viewed as a sacred Tree & in Buddhism the flowers symbolise the impermanence of life & all things around ……..
The world is full of so many nice things to do & see ….: Japanese have a special Love & fondness for India …. let us all support the traditions , cultures & rich tapestry of our two countries the ….. mutually respecting way ….. the endearing way ….. the SEEGOS way …..
