And for a Friday arriving in Trivandrum from Chennai via Bangalore, some thoughts….. some musings…..

Over the last five weeks, a queer combination of circumstances, events, necessitated a whirlwind tour between Bangalore, Mumbai, Cochin, Trivandrum, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai and back into Trivandrum, included Board meetings in one city to friends reunion after 50 years and to attending the 60th birthday celebration of a very dear relative. It was fun and excitement to travel into and meet up so many dear ones across the country. The beauty and marvel of India, so different yet we are all the same in every city. So much of love and affection and as far as official work, as always, just the same.
Every city has changed so much. Lots of improvements and better infrastructure. Whilst the new Departure Terminal at Bangalore Airport is the most stunningly beautiful, every airport has increased its handling capacity. Flyovers are already in use but many more under construction in every city going from somewhere to nowhere. Metro is another new infra. The famous Engineer Mr. Sreedharan of Delhi Metro fame, developed the Delhi Model which are now replicated from Cochin to Mumbai to every city in India. On the other hand, traffic snarls are uniformly chaotic. Every city resident believes her/his city has deteriorated. Actually all cities have gone bad. The vehicle population has exploded beyond infra capacities; average four million vehicles and 16 mn two wheelers are being added every year in the country. Traffic problems across India needs AI based solutions at a completely different level.
As India moves to a four, five trillion $ economy, as middle class in India will triple, let’s be aware of climate change and urbanisation challenges, the knowledgeable way, the empathy way, the SEEGOS way.
