And for a Friday in Trivandrum, first visit in almost two years, some thoughts..… some musings…..

Touted as Asia’s biggest, but definitely India’s biggest Entertainment centre, now in Trivandrum.

Thanks to the myriad travel restrictions and quarantine necessities between Kerala and Karnataka, our visit to Trivandrum – Quaint, Green, Serene city the of the princely state of Travancore – kept getting aborted. Adjudged the third Best City with highest Employability and one of the safest for Women to work (wheel box skills report 2022), it’s great to be back. A very close relative took us to a Private Christmas party. Great fun, camaraderie, excellent Mallu food – Kappa with Fish curry, Kottuparatha, Beef Fried, Kaladosa – the works, with free flow of drinks and the famous tastiest Christmas Fruitcakes as Deserts. Enjoyed the evening, ofcourse within Covid protocol limits.

Trivandrum is ideally suited for the modern day Digitalised “WFH” and WFA concept. Compared to Gurugram, Navi Mumbai, Pune and even the congested Whitefield and Electronics city in Bengaluru, this city definitely is Value for Money. Now with the opening of India’s Biggest Mall, the Lulu Mall near the Airport, it’s a complete entertainment, shopping and meandering centre. Mr. Yusuf Ali is undoubtedly Kerala’s best known Industrialist with his tentacles deep within the Indian political system, as much into the Middle East. But, as my friend Dr. Shashi Tharoor said at the inauguration, Its high time all the political parties closed their other political differences at least to provide employment for the youth of Kerala as the scope in Middle East, Africa and the developing economies of the World have greatly dwindled. Each state has to find jobs for its young men and women passing out of schools and degree colleges.

Christmas week is great time to catch up with friends and relatives. But let’s all be conscious of Omicron lurking around. So let’s celebrate, the responsible way, the caring way, the SEEGOS way.
