And for a Friday….at the Round Table meeting with Nobel Laureate Dr Yunus…. some thoughts….
What a pleasure to participate with Dr Yunus espousing the concept of Social Business – its a Company created with the specific intention of solving a Social Problem. Like a business it earns Revenue and like Charity it is driven by Social Mission.
In collaboration with Tata Trusts and Boston Consulting Group, Yunus Social Business has also designed the Indian Corporate Action Tank, India’s first incubator for large Corporates.
We plan to run a competition in Bangalore; an idea by the Chief Secretary of Govt of Karnataka – Dr. SC Khuntia to identify potential Social Businesses in the area of Waste Management within the City. Bright Ideas, Business Models and the best entries to receive prizes at the hands of Dr Yunus.
Each one of us must participate in Nation Building. We all have the potential…. let’s be positive…. let’s build our Nation the Ethical way….. the SEEGOS way.
