The third son-Jasper – Soft coated Wheaton Terrier – welcoming me

Even the dogs here are so disciplined, well trained, keep their surroundings clean and neat and of course, they are well looked after. My niece has three sons, two biological, ages 16 and 14 and Jasper the loving, soft coated Wheaton Terrier dog, whom she has trained to perfection.

US is a pet loving nation. 60 million households have dogs as pets and 50 million have cats and so many other species. The pet industry is a mind boggling INR 420,000 crores, includes pet food, veterinary care, insurance etc. etc.

It is expensive to keep dogs, a week long boot camp for dogs is Rs. 50,000, thirty minutes dog walking is Rs. 1500 and a full service bath is Rs. 2000 and they have their own perfumes, scents and luxury sleeping mats.

These pets perform yeomen service, apart from unconditional love. Therapy dogs help improve gross and fine motor skills, speech therapy, cognitive function, sensor stimulation etc. etc.

More developed a Nation, better living conditions for all. US per capita income is 20 times more than India and population is less than a quarter.

No matter which city or small town you go, dogs are walked. Owners clean up with their own gloved hands. Garbage disposal is everyone’s responsibility.

There is so much to learn. Transparency, discipline, cleanliness. Let’s support “Swachh Bharat”, let’s work towards a Developed India….. the Clean way…… the Transparent way…… the SEEGOS way.
